Carpentry Delivers Holiday Dinners to HVCC
November 21, 2016
On November 21, 2016 the Carpentry seniors and Mr. Robert Hughes delivered Thanksgiving dinners to the Hockanum Valley Community Center located in Vernon, Connecticut. Over 900 meals were to be distributed that day. Over 1600 families are served by the HVCC.
Since 2008, in an effort to promote community service in our students, Cheney Carpentry has volunteered at Thanksgiving and Christmas with the collection and distribution of holiday dinners and gifts at the Hockanum Valley Community Center. The students enjoy themselves and their assistance is greatly appreciated by those who run the Center.
The Carpentry department will be returning to HVCC to deliver holiday meals and gifts for the Christmas holiday.
Great job Carpentry!
