Electric Boat Visits Cheney

Cheney Tech and Electric Boat – Great partnerships providing opportunities for our students.

On February 27, 2024, Electric boat arrived to interview students from multiple disciplines/trades:
-Diesel, Auto, Carpentry, MDET, HVAC and Welding. Our welding students also were given a
weld test to evaluate their skills. 16 students were interviewed and were provided with a job offer form Electric Boat.

Comments from EB- we were commended on how well prepared our students were for their interview. They were able to articulate thoughts, and skills. All of this is attributed to the
dedication of our educators in academics and trade to provide them with the content knowledge
and skills necessary to start their career. Cheney Tech is at the forefront of feeding the CT
Workforce pipeline.
