Hockanum River Linear Park Volunteers

On Wednesday, November 2, a group of Cheney Tech student volunteers and environmental science teacher Ms. Lynn Olson worked with Doug Smith, who chairs the Hockanum River Linear Park Committee. The students worked on a long term project to eradicate an invasive species and create a bird sanctuary on an island near Cheney Tech. Mr. Smith was so pleased with their work and work ethic that he invited the students out for lunch at Shady Glen.
